Getting a group of good friends

I met a group of good friends soon after I entered the University, luckily, they did not isolate or label me when they know that I was from HKCC. Although I can chat with them very friendly, I had a feeling that we may not work very efficiently when we had to do group projects together. May be my feeling is wrong since this is only the first week of the school starts. I hope we can work with great teamwork and come out with excellent results. Afterall, I miss my HKCC group mates as we know each other very much and we were having an excellent team work when we had to do projects.

Today I took the new SU schedule book. It’s larger than I thought, but it’s very beautiful inside. Also I had my fit test done today, it’s quite an interesting experience that you have to wear the N95 mask to do different postures. The the N95 was given to me after the test as a souvenir and for later use in class.

Commencement of My First Semester in PolyU

I had started my new life in PolyU as a Nursing student, spending my next 4 years in learning to be a registered nurse. Luckily, I can successfully applied for credit transfer for 5 subjects. So I can have more free time in the first year.

Nursing Departmental Society [NDS] Orientation Camp 26/9-28/9

During these 3 days, I had used all my energies in playing with games, city hunt and treasure hunt. I had never exercised and sweated so much before. I was very glad that I can participate in the O camp as many friends told me that they cannot even go to pre-o.  Although I was very happy in the o camp, I didn’t know why I was involved in some issues with some girls. And they seem to ignore me and prevented others to get friend with me. So I felt quite alone in the last day of the O camp. May be I was too shy to meet new friends at first, or I had done something offensive to someone…… I don’t know…. The feeling that I was isolated came out again…. that reminds me of my unhappy secondary school life…I don’t want that situation to happen again.

I know my character was a bit strange. I was very shy and do not talk much when I first meet new friends, but when you get to know me, you will know I am a very caring person that I put my priority in the last place. Although I really do not talk much sometimes even you are befriend with me, but you will know that I am not intended to ignore anymore or to be play cool.

I admit that I am not talkative, but I will become talkative when someone has opened a topic. I realized that I love hanging out with people who really talks much.  Anyways, I will try my best to be talkative to meet more friends in the coming few weeks.

Saving $$ to buy a new DSLR

Although I bought the Canon PowerShot G10 a couple of months before, but I found out that the functions offered by G10 cannot fulfill my satisfaction already. So I want to upgrade myself and buy a DSLR. I have done some research about the low-grade DSLR, and I have some ideas in my mind.

Since my budget is limited, my first priority is to buy a Canon 500D, but I don’t like the kit lens. So I will be buying 500D+ Tamron 17-50 f2.8 lens (A16). If I can get more money, I want to buy Nikon D90 with kit lens.

Nursing Small O camp (Pre-O 1st day)

For the first time, I played so happily in a group function. I was appointed in the Green Group, with “JoMa”, Nico. I played many games with them. But it was really hot today and I was totally wet and soaked with sweat. And I really want to practice more in the Group Dance and kinda show off in front of them XD.
